Thanks to everyone that helped make our MacLamore Feast the best ever. So many people provide so many donations of food and gifts for this charity event that it is impossible to name them all.
This event provides a wonderful day for those children of the MacLamore House that have no families, and otherwise no special holidays. Special thanks to Mrs. Samuels who has, for more than 15 years, been the leader of this wonderful event. Our Fairchild families are the most generous anywhere. THANK YOU!!
Thanks also to all those teachers and parents that made our 10th annual Pow Wow the best ever. Special thanks to Ms. Porrello who provided the guidance and music for this fun occasion. We are already looking forward to our 11th annual Pow Wow next year!
Our Fall Book Fair was a grand succes as well, and we thank all the parents that volunteered their time to assist in the Book Fair. We are always grateful for your help...it takes many, many hands and bodies to provide these events for our families. Think about volunteering for our next event. Hopefully the boys and girls are enjoying their books. What a great way to spend your allowance!

Here we are in the middle of October already!! The time is
going by very rapidly this year……………..and NO STORMS!!!!
We had a very smooth opening of school this year. As usual,
this, we owe to our great staff; from custodians, to cafeteria, to security, to
teachers and other staff members. Everyone worked hard to be prepared and to
make the first days flawless.

Dear Parents,
I am thrilled to be opening another year at David Fairchild
Elementary and welcome you to the 2007-2008 school year.
Last year everyone, parents, children and teachers, worked
long and hard to do a great job with our children, and again, our successes were
reflected in our wonderful little school receiving an ‘A’ rating for the
seventh year in a row.
As you know, this honor is a result of hard work and
dedication, and most importantly, it indicates that we are all doing an
extraordinary job of educating our children to meet high standards.
